The MSM “Christmas in July” program was a great success. Not only was it fun to see the holiday display in the middle of summer, but we also received great donations which will benefit a number of programs in the Chicagoland area.
- Infant and toddler toys will be used in a maternity and adoption program. This program provides parenting education and support, adoption planning and placement, community referrals and advocacy services.
- The other gently used items will be used in a family self-sufficiency program, which assists low-income single parents with dependent children.
- Finally, any new toy donations will become part of the Christmas Gift Program, which provides gifts for the Lake County community in need. Through this program, families are able to celebrate a happy holiday season.
The MSM employees should be proud of the time they took to clean out closets, basements and garages, as well the generous monetary donations, which allowed participation in the new toy program.
Keep your eyes open for the next community program coming in September.
